Project name: Case Manifattura "Moncalieri"
This is the project for the refurbishment of a modern industrial building for the textile production. It was projected by architect Paolo Perona. We transformed the interior spaces into open-space duplex apartments.
In Perona' first project proposal the front facade was respecting the sectio aurea proportion. The coeval urbanistic legislation didn't permit more than 15 meters for the height of the building therefore the high of the building was reduced to 15 meters and the proportion of the fachade passed from 1:1,618 to 1:2.
In our project we recover his original idea with a superelevation of the building.
We created two new patios to bring light and ventilation to the central part of the building. The common spaces of the apartments will be double-height while the rooms will be single height.
